I would encourage you to create a new pilot and play the campaign again. Over the course of 2015 I rebuilt pretty much everything, and towards the end, I also reworked the SP campaign to unify the two contradictory endings and eliminate the need for multiple pilot logins. This helped, but I still saw many visual issues, so in Jan 2015, I started working on the models. My first step was to redo all the textures.

In late 2014, I got the urge to replay Battlezone II's campaign after a long absence, and while I still love the initial designs, the artwork and models just haven't held up well over the past 16 years.

BATTLEZONE 2 1.3.6.5 MOD
This mod makes changes to the stock odf files, and is designed to run alongside patch 1.3.7.2 and higher, and any mods that use the stock odf and art assets, though additional changes to bzone.cfg file may be necessary There are various works in progress to make such MODs work, and they may be complete by the time you read this. While not an official patch, this mod represents my best effort to give the art, models, and campaign story of Battlezone II just as much of a makeover and update, as the 1.3 series of patches have done for the game's code. MODs that replaced out large chunks of the BZ2 shell (aka Forgotten Enemies) may need extensive tweaks before they can work with 1.3. Includes Anet and transport libraries that work well with Battlezone Fixes a number of network problems introduced by later versions Requires 1.5.2.
BATTLEZONE 2 1.3.6.5 INSTALL
Some broken MODs that installed themselves into the Data folder (which should *never* have happened, but some people refused to do things right and install to addon) may have to be manually deleted. Many MODs for BZ2 will be uninstalled as part of the install of 1.3. Missions created with the editor in 1.3 will not be readable in previous versions, same with savegames, etc. But, as noted above, progress in SP missions is left untouched. Mid-mission savegames from BZ2 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3pb1-pb4 can not be read, as the file formats changed too much. Those new preferences files can not be read by 1.2. 1.3 uses a new file format for pilots/prefs, and upgrades 1.2's files on reading them. Progress in Singleplayer missions, preferences should be read fine where more options than 1.2 exist (especially the sound setup), users may need to adjust those new options if they don't like the defaults. However, any map/dll that depends on certain behavior in the AI, etc for scripting may need tweaking. There is still an active modding community and may of us still play online. Maps & DLLs for BZ2 1.2 should load fine. BZ2 is still being actively worked on by one of the original developers (Nathan Mates aka GSH) ad has recently went over to a Raknet gameslisting solution as Gamespy pulled the plug on this and many older titles a couple years ago. The new patch does not work with Windows XP and Windows 7 SP1. From now on MG can use skills: Death Stab and Rageful Blow.
BATTLEZONE 2 1.3.6.5 UPDATE
Like all other BZ2 patches, the 1.3 patch is not network compatible with any other version- all players in the game must be running the exact same version (i.e. by Admin 04-06-2022 There is a new patch To play you need to update the game via MUBZ FUN Launcher 1 or download the whole game client from here: Download. Some notes on compatibility w/ previous versions:
